Hardware hacking
Hardware doesn't have to be so hard! This is a social hardware hacking event, primarily focusing on badges - you can hack on your 2026 Goatmire badge (powered by AtomVM), or if you have a Nerves badge from last year's event, feel free to bring that and hack on it instead! We'll start off with an overview of the hardware, how it was designed, and jump into the details on how to upload code to your badge, add new pages, and more. It's open ended - bring your laptop, a USB-C cable, and some ideas! Gus Workman
Gus is the founder of Protolux Electronics, a Luxembourg-based company specializing in hardware and software for embedded systems built with Nerves. Previously, he worked at Samsung Research in new product development. He built the open source board Trellis, the previous Goatmire name badge based on it and is currently working on the official Nerves Starter Kit.
